Laryngoscopy

Laryngoscopy

A laryngoscopy is an examination that lets your doctor look at the back of your throat, your vocal cords and voice box with a scope called a laryngoscope.

This procedure can help the doctor determine the cause of voice problems, throat and ear pain, difficulty swallowing, blood in mucus or a lump in the throat, and to check potential injury of the throat or blockage of the airway.
