Pulmonary

Bronchoscopy

A bronchoscopy is a procedure by which a thin tube called a bronchoscope is inserted through the nose or mouth in order to provide a look into the airways and lungs. This procedure may be completed with either a flexible or a rigid tube. The flexible tube works to look at smaller airways, while the rigid tube is appropriate for use in larger airways. This tool can be used to treat excessive bleeding or secretions, remove foreign objects, collect material or a biopsy, or help with the diagnosis of certain pulmonary conditions. Our professionals will prioritize your comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
